2006 - 2007 School Year Theme is:

 “My Favorite Place”

The annual Reflections program at Keeth Elementary is part of the national PTA program toencourage and recognize participation in the arts. Each year, students at Keeth can submit their work in the categories of Literature, Music Competition, Photography or the Visual Arts. 

This is the National PTA's annual arts program offered to students from Pre-K through 12^th grades.  Interested students are invited to interpret a theme in one of the following categories:  literature, musical composition, photography, visual arts, dance choreography or film/video production. 

This year's theme is "My Favorite Place..." 

If your child would like to submit an entry, go to www.floridapta.org or call/e-mail me and I will get you the entry form and rules.  The deadline for submitting entries is January 3.  Although all entries are anonymously judged, the goal is participation and not winning.  At the elementary school level, the program is divided into two divisions so that student works are critiqued against others in the same grade division.  This allows recognition and judging according to appropriate developmental age and skill levels.  The 2 divisions are:  Primary (Pre-K-2) and Intermediate (3-5).  Keeth's winning entries will then be submitted to the County for the next level of judging.  Please be aware that students may not get their entries returned.

Parents, keep in mind that although your involvement is important, student artists must create their own work.  They must make their own decisions about what to create and what to enter in the program.
