On Friday, November 10, Keeth students will be treated to a visit from author Peter Parente.  Mr. Parente has written a series of books, inspired by his kinkajou Peeper, to help educate children about unique creatures and their characteristics.  These stories instill an appreciation for nature and the survival of our ecosystems, as well as inspire conservation.  The students will get to meet the real Peeper and will be given an opportunity to touch Maggie, a 2-toed sloth. 

Parents will have the opportunity to purchase an autographed book prior to Mr. Parente's visit.  Watch for more information coming home.  The timing of Mr. Parente's visit couldn't be better since he's visiting the school during the book fair...the theme of which is Reading Rain Forest!  Following Mr. Parente's visit, please be sure to ask your child what they learned about the Rain Forest and the unique creatures that live there.   You can get more information about Mr. Parente and his books at www.peeperandfriends.com .
